How to create/add new loan to exiting customer account
 
 

To manage loan application and disbursement, you will need to setup the loan detail and link it to the customer and customer account.

Loan can be added to existing account or added creating a new

To add loan to existing account, follow the following steps.

  1.  Click on ‘Customers’ menu from the list of menu items by the right side panel of the system
  2. On the customer page search for the customer by entering the customer name on the search text box
  3. Once the customer name appear on the customers data list
  4. Click on the yellow ‘Manage’ button to access the customer page
  5. On the customer page, check under account tab for existing customer account you want to add loan to
  6. Click on ‘+ Add Loan’ button by the right side of the account
  7. This will take you to the page form to setup the loan
  8. On loan form, enter and select the loan parameters such as
    1. Loan product
    2. Loan type
    3. Loan model
    4. Loan application date
    5. Principal
    6. Interest rate
    7. Calculation method(flat rate/ reducing balance)
    8. Disbursement date
    9. Management fees
    10. Repayment frequency
    11. Repayment period
    12. Repayment type
    13. After entering and selecting loan  parameters above, click calculate button to see the loan summary and repayment schedule
    14. You are required to review the summary and verify all figures and set parameters
    15. Click on SUBMIT LOAN button at the bottom of the page to finalized disbursement

 

Take note of the following

  • This action will setup the loan and add it loan the loan table.
  • Customer account will be credited with loan principal once the transaction is approved
  • Management fees will be deducted from customer balance
  • Due interest will drop on due date of every installment
  • Repayment amount will drop to customer account balance on due date of every installment – This can happen when you run end of day or manually dropped on loan page
